Job Summary:
The Electrophysiology Laboratory (EP LAB) registered nurse position located in Bozeman, Montana, involves assisting clinic providers and staff in delivering and coordinating patient care related to cardiac electrophysiology procedures. This role requires assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care while working collaboratively within the healthcare team. The position emphasizes patient education and adherence to state-specific nursing regulations.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); current Montana Registered Nurse (RN) license; American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification; one (1) year of registered nursing experience; International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) certification; experience managing cardiac implantable electronic devices, including pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs); experience with device platforms from major manufacturers such as Biotronik, Medtronic, Abbott (formerly St. Jude Medical), and Boston Scientific; knowledge of cardiac arrhythmia management and electrocardiogram (ECG/EKG) interpretation.

- Interrogates cardiac implantable electronic devices, monitors and documents patient response to device therapy and programming changes, and manages remote device monitoring.
- Coordinates follow-up care for device patients and maintains clinical databases and records.
- Performs diagnostic tests such as electrocardiograms (EKGs), Holter monitors, event monitors, and Zio Patch procedures.
- Coordinates surgical and procedural interventions related to cardiac devices, ensuring proper collaboration with radiology, surgical, anesthesia, and other teams.
- Maintains clinical environments in a clean, organized, and well-stocked manner.
- Provides education and ongoing support to patients and families regarding device management and arrhythmia care.
- Participates in quality improvement and compliance initiatives.
