Job Summary:
A Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN) is sought for an assignment at a reputable healthcare provider located in Aurora, Colorado. This position involves providing specialized care within the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with a focus on open heart procedures. The job offers a rotating shift schedule with supporting operational needs and an assignment length of 13 weeks.

  • Shift: 12-Hour Rotating Days/Nights from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM (Rotating shifts per unit needs)
  • Schedule: 36 hours per week
  • Travel Required: Yes
  • Float Requirement: Yes; client reserves the right to float or reassign personnel within their clinical competence to other areas of practice within thirty-five miles of the originally assigned facility
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Education: BSN preferred; ADN with 6 years of experience considered
    • Licensure/Certification: Colorado RN license or multi-state compact license, PALS, ACLS, BLS
    • Other: Pediatric CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) preferred
  • Required Job Qualifications:
    • 2-3 years of staff RN experience in dedicated CVPICU (pediatric CICU or open heart unit)
    • Previous travel experience required
  • Required Certifications:
    • PALS Heartcode
    • ACLS Heartcode (no Heartcode complete)
    • BLS
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • CCRN and VAD experience preferred (please note in work history comments)
    • Teaching Hospital Experience strongly preferred
  • Additional Notes:
    • No RTO approved within the first two weeks of the assignment
    • Medical and religious exemption requests for the seasonal influenza vaccination are allowed
