Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse in Seattle, Washington. This position involves providing comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patients with a variety of diagnoses, including renal, urology, and transplant-related conditions. The role requires flexibility to float within skillsets and adherence to facility protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), current basic life support (BLS) certification; no minimum experience required beyond certification; location in Seattle, Washington
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in Medical Surgical nursing, charting system experience, and patient ratio experience
- Float: Float rotation may be required within skillset units
- Additional Information:
- Unit: Medical/Surgical Floor (11E Nephrology Surgical) with staffing ratios of 1:5
- Patient census of approximately 25 patients daily across 27 rooms and 30 beds
- Care includes managing ports, ventilator support, blood product administration, and complex surgical procedures
- Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, and rapid response teams
- Special procedures include epidural pumps and special equipment may be utilized
- Neurovascular and urologic disorders, transplant rejection, and various surgeries comprise typical patient diagnoses
- 24-hour orientation provided, with the ability to take up to 3 days of pre-approved time off
- Must submit 2 references covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) during the last 3 years prior to start date
