Description

Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Medical specialty position is located in Tyler, Texas. This role involves providing specialized care in a Medical-Surgical Intensive Care Unit setting. The position requires working a 12-hour day shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on September 8, 2026. The role is designed for qualified health care professionals experienced in ICU environments who are committed to delivering high-quality patient care.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days, 12-hour shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS (required)
  • Years of Experience: 2 years of ICU experience preferred; minimum of 0 years required
  • Required Qualifications: Valid state-issued license, clinical experience in ICU, certifications as listed, charting experience with Epic, and at least 2 years of relevant ICU experience preferred
  • Preferred Qualifications: Travel experience, extensive ICU-related skills including arterial line management, sedation, Ventilator management, and diverse procedure experience
  • Patient Ratios: 2 patients during days, nights, and weekends shifts
  • Additional Unit Details: Serving adult and geriatric patient populations, daily census of 14, with 12 rooms and 16 beds; interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
  • Special Procedures/Unit Details: ICU-specific procedures including CRRT, ECMO, EVD, neuro, trauma, and post-surgical care. Proficiency in managing complex critical care interventions is desired.
  • Travel Experience Required: Yes
  • Additional Information: Onboarding requires completion of core items/labs within 48 hours of contract signing; modules are completed onsite during orientation.
