Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Medical-Surgical ICU Location unspecified. This position involves providing specialized critical care to adult and geriatric patients within a Medical-Surgical Intensive Care Unit. The role requires delivering high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment, focusing on advanced interventions such as arterial line management, trauma care, and mechanical ventilation support.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Active ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications. Valid license in the state or jurisdiction required at time of submission. Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience preferred, with at least 2-3 years of patient ratio experience and charting experience using Epic. Experience with managing ports, administering chemotherapy, arterial lines, ventilator management, and complex hemodynamic monitoring is necessary.
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The unit supports adult and geriatric patient populations with a daily census of 14 patients. The unit features interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and interpretation services. Procedures include CRRT, TAVR, neuro ICU care, and management of multisystem organ failure.
- Submission Requirements: Active state or compact license must be in hand at time of submittal. All required core items/labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing. Modules are completed onsite during orientation and are non-billable.
