Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical Neurology is based in New York. This position involves delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with neurological conditions within a medical-surgical setting. The role emphasizes collaborative practice, clinical expertise, and commitment to patient safety and experience.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM shifts, minimum of 34.5 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid New York State Registered Nurse license; Bachelor's of Science degree with a major in nursing preferred, associate degree considered only with relevant experience or active matriculation in a BSN program; at least 2 years of RN experience; 2 years of neuro experience in a hospital setting; 1 year travel experience preferred for travel positions but not required for per diem; highly preferred EPIC experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in medical-surgical units, especially in neurology, preferred.
- Additional Information: The position entails performing charge nurse duties, coordinating supplies and staff resources, facilitating patient throughput, and adhering to clinical standards and safety protocols. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to professional development, ethical decision-making, and active participation in clinical and operational initiatives.
