Description
Job Summary
Emergency Room Nurse Tuscumbia, Alabama. This position involves providing high-quality emergency medical care in a fast-paced ED environment. The role requires flexibility to float to other units and hospitals, with a focus on delivering patient-centered care within a Level III Trauma Center that treats over 60,000 patients annually. The Nurse will work primarily day shifts, including every other weekend and holidays as required.
Job Details
- Schedule: Shift time is 12 hours per day, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Associate degree in nursing; current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or Red Cross certifications; active registered nurse license in the state of Alabama or a compact license (no temporary licenses accepted); at least 2 years of recent experience in a large hospital setting, including trauma experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in an emergency room setting.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to different units and hospitals.
- Additional Information: The position is patient-facing, requiring direct clinical care in the emergency department utilizing the Meditech electronic medical record system. Dress code consists of solid navy scrubs.
