Description
Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in Hopewell, Virginia. This role involves providing urgent and critical care in a busy emergency department environment. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills and the ability to respond effectively to a variety of emergency situations.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with at least 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Virginia state nursing license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), CPICertification, 0 years of minimum experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Trauma experience, TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), Meditech experience.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to our FSED, approximately 15 minutes away.
- Additional Information: The unit is a 22-bed Emergency Room with approximately 50 staff members, including nurses, techs, and support personnel. Equipment includes Phillips and GE monitors, Level 1 Rapid Infuser, and Meditech (Electronic Medical Record). Candidate should be a team player with excellent communication skills, professional, energetic, and adaptable to change. Responsibilities include IV insertions, ECGs, cardioversion, central line placement, and following stroke and sepsis protocols. Every other weekend shift with at least one Friday and one Monday in the schedule; no on-call required.
