Description
Job Summary:
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) nurse position in Houston, Texas. This role involves providing specialized care for pediatric patients in a fast-paced environment within the unit. The position is scheduled for day shifts, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent, Texas (TX) licensure, at least 1 year of pediatric or intensive care nursing experience
- Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric experience, Pediatric Congenital Heart experience
- Float: Float rotation may be required
- Additional Information: The unit consists of 14 Pediatric Intensive Care Unit beds and 28 Pediatric beds, with a staffing ratio of 1:1 or 2:1 in the ICU, and 3:1 in the Intermediate Medical Unit. Equipment includes ventilators, CPAP, HFNC, NC, IV pumps, feeding pumps, and Medfusion pumps. EMR system used is EXPANSE. The team works 4 weekend shifts within a 4-week period. Dress code is royal blue scrubs.
