Job Summary

Operating Room (OR) Open Heart Specialty position in Charleston, South Carolina. This role involves working in a cardiac operating room environment with a focus on complex thoracic and vascular procedures, including AAA repairs, valve replacements, and CABG. The assignment requires experience in cardiac surgeries and circulating nurse responsibilities in a general and specialized OR setting.

Job Details:

• Location: Charleston, South Carolina
• Shift Schedule: 10-hour shifts; 40 hours per week
• Start Date: 08/24/2026
• Required Qualifications: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), BLS certification; minimum 2 years of OR experience including Open Heart and Cardiac Surgery, valid license; flexible with schedule, able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with robotic procedures, advanced spine surgery, and complex thoracic and vascular cases; familiarity with Meditech documentation system
• Float: Float rotation may be required
• Additional Information: The role involves handling high-acuity cardiac surgeries, including complex open thoracic and endovascular cases. The candidate must possess general circulating knowledge such as patient positioning, prepping, facilitating cases, and endovascular equipment handling. A strong understanding of both general OR and CVOR procedures is essential, including procedures like AAA repairs, valve replacements, CABG, bypass, angio, and stent placements.
