Description
Job Summary:
The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse position is located in Charleston, South Carolina. This role involves evaluating patients prior to surgery, providing patient and family education regarding peri-operative procedures, and ensuring patient safety and comfort during recovery. The PACU Nurse will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN (Registered Nurse) license, Associate Degree or higher, Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in post-anesthesia or recovery care setting is advantageous.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include assessing patient condition, monitoring throughout the shift, documenting changes and care provided, and educating patients and families about medical conditions, treatments, and follow-up measures. The position is created to fill a vacant role with 3 to 4 openings, starting on 08/17/2026, at a healthcare facility in Charleston, South Carolina.
