Job Summary:
Preoperative Registered Nurse in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This position involves providing care for patients preparing for surgery and managing phase 2 recovery. The role requires collaborative team engagement within a busy surgical unit, utilizing advanced skills to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), at least 2 years of experience, and relevant education or licensing as a Preoperative Registered Nurse.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with IV starts, moderate sedation, and procedures such as nerve blocks, arterial lines, and central lines.
• Additional Information: Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in IV starts, moderate sedation, and preoperative care. Advanced skills include performing nerve blocks, arterial lines, central lines, and Swan measurements. Must adhere to dress code of blue scrubs and follow unit-specific policies. Position entails working in the Preoperative and Day Surgery units only, with no weekends or holidays required.
