Job Summary:
The Medical Surgical Gynecology Floor Nurse position is located in Chamberlain, South Dakota. This role involves providing specialized care in a medical surgical unit with a focus on gynecology. The position requires a versatile clinician capable of working independently across different units while adhering to the facility's policies and procedures.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend and holiday
• Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice nursing, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification; at least 2 years of RN experience; experience includes 6 months in medical surgical and obstetrics (OB) units within the past year; ability to function independently in emergency room and medical surgical settings with up to 5 patients; must badge in and out at the facility; scrub color is navy blue; must have prior experience working for the facility if applicable.
• Preferred Qualifications: TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification will be advantageous.
• Additional Information: The role involves floating between the obstetrics (OB) and medical surgical units. Equipment used includes Sanford One Charge and Pixis systems. Staff must wear navy scrubs and comply with the facility's dress code. Training includes one day of EPIC computer training, one day of OB training, and one day of medical surgical training. The assignment duration is 48 hours per week with every other weekend and holiday shifts. Three call shifts are required within a 13-week contract period.
