Description

Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) and Open Heart (OH) specialty position located in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. The role involves providing surgical assistance within the hospital's operating rooms, with a focus on cardiovascular procedures. The position is suitable for candidates with current Colorado Surgical Technologist (CST) licensure with DORA and specific CVOR experience. It offers a rotating schedule to accommodate a variety of procedure times.

Job Details:

Location: Glenwood Springs, Colorado
Schedule: Rotating shift with 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited scrub technologist program
- Certification in Surgical Technology from the National Board Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) or the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
- Colorado Surgical Technologist (CST) license issued by the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) in Colorado, required for Colorado-based candidates
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Out-of-state agencies must register in the Colorado Client Certification Unit (CCU) system and provide a real address in Colorado if they do not have a local office
- Ability to meet the radius rule of at least 75 miles from the facility's address
Preferred Qualifications:
- Specific Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience in a hospital setting
- Experience working in a hybrid Cath Lab environment
Additional Information:
- Must have current Colorado DORA CST licensure and CVOR experience
- The position requires availability for a rotating on-call schedule
- Applicants should ensure accurate submission of SS# and DOB in Medefis to prevent onboarding issues
