Description

Job Summary:
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) Nurse position located in Monterey, California. This role involves working in a fast-paced acute care setting within a facility that emphasizes patient-centered care. The nurse will provide total patient care in a specialized cardiac environment, following established protocols and collaborating with cardiologists and other health care professionals. Candidates must be adaptable to a rotating shift schedule, including call responsibilities.

Job Details:

  • Location: Monterey, CA
  • Schedule: Eight-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with rotating on-call duties including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Approximately 10 call shifts per month, with on-call response time of 30 minutes.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid licenses to submit, BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS certifications, and a minimum of 2 years experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab setting. Experience with Epic electronic health record system is preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: RCIS certification (not required but preferred), experience with procedural patient preoperative and recovery care, and familiarity with lab equipment such as McKesson, Philips, and Siemens systems.
  • Responsibilities: Assist with procedural and patient care activities in the cardiac cath lab, including preoperative preparation and postoperative recovery as needed, with potential involvement in cases such as PCI, pacemaker insertions, STEMI, TAVR, and Watchman procedures. May need to support patient care during various phases of cardiac interventions.
  • Additional Information: Unit requires orientation of 2-3 shifts based on experience. Scrub color/dress code will be provided. Floating is not required. Candidates should be willing to work holidays and respond to call within 30 minutes.
