Description

Job Summary:
Operating Room Pediatrics (OR PEDS) nurse opportunity available in Oakland, California. This position involves providing specialized perioperative care for pediatric patients within a dedicated surgical environment. The role requires ensuring high standards of safety and clinical excellence in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary setting.

Job Details:

Schedule: Nights shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: California Registered Nurse (RN) license, American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). A minimum of 3 years of pediatric operating room experience or equivalent, with experience in scrub or circulating roles preferred.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cardiovascular or ambulatory surgeries, scrub experience, and CNOR certification.
Certifications: BLS, PALS, CNOR.
Skills: Experience with pediatric surgeries, cardiac procedures, ambulatory surgery, blood administration, and familiarity with Epic charting system.
Facility & Patient Care Details: The position involves working with pediatric patients of different age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, and children. The unit offers multidisciplinary support, with services across neurology, orthopedics, ENT, urology, plastics, and other specialties.
Start Date: 09/01/2026
Additional Information: Flexibility to float to other UCSF campuses and to participate in required onboarding modules prior to start date. RTO requests must be approved and cannot occur within the first two weeks of employment.
