Description

Job Summary:
The profession is registered nursing with a specialization in Medical Surgical Oncology in Raleigh, North Carolina. The position involves providing competent clinical nursing care within an outpatient infusion setting, focusing on chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments. The Clinical Nurse will be responsible for coordinating patient care, assessing patient needs, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to promote positive health outcomes.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: M-F, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Nursing diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of Nursing. Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers (AHA or ARC). Two (2) or more years of nursing experience, specifically with chemotherapy and immunotherapy infusion.

  • Additional Information: Outpatient infusion setting requires experience in chemotherapy and immunotherapy. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in patient care coordination, nursing process, patient education, patient assessment, and clinical nursing. Skills include point of care testing, research application, care planning, healthcare standards compliance, interdisciplinary collaboration, discharge planning, complex patient care, safety management, professional growth, performance improvement, cost-effective care, communication systems, cultural competence, and task prioritization.
