Job Summary
Interventional Radiology Nurse - San Francisco, CA. This position involves providing specialized nursing care for patients undergoing imaging procedures, including IV support, moderate sedation, and recovery. The role requires the ability to float to other UCSF facilities as needed, with a focus on adult and adolescent patients within a busy clinical setting.
Job Details
- Shift: Days, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: California Registered Nurse (RN) license with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, minimum of 2 years of experience in interventional radiology, adult acute care, and diagnostic imaging including interventional radiology procedures and procedural sedation
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in intensive care unit (ICU), emergency department (ED), post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), or procedural areas; Radiology Imaging Nursing Certification; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Schedule: 10-hour shifts, with a start date of 09/01/2026
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS required for all RN positions; CA license in hand required for all RN positions
- Additional Information: The RN will support imaging procedures such as CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and Interventional Radiology. Responsibilities include IV support, procedure preparation, moderate sedation and monitoring, patient recovery, and patient instructions. Ability to wear lead apron as needed and access MRI areas is required. Resources may be reassigned within a 75+ mile radius as needed, and support for modular training varies by unit. References from the most recent employer are required, and prior employment within UC medical facilities must be disclosed for rehire eligibility. Floating to other UCSF facilities is necessary throughout the assignment.
