Description

Job Summary:
The healthcare provider is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in Step Down Units for a position based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This role involves providing acute patient care in a dedicated step-down environment, with responsibilities tailored to patients requiring close monitoring and advanced nursing skills. The ideal candidate will possess recent hospital acute experience, proficiency in electronic health record systems, and relevant certifications.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license with current state licensure.
    • At least 2 years of recent hospital acute experience in a step-down or comparable setting.
    • Recent experience (within the last year) using the EPIC electronic health record system, with facility details noted upon application.
    • Certifications: BLS and ACLS.
    • Must have a manager reference from the most recent assignment.
    • Must not have any hits on licenses or backgrounds.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Prior experience working in a telemetered unit, step-down, or ICU setting.
    • Strong IV skills.
    • Experience in teaching facilities is highly preferred.
  • Additional Information:
    • Orientation includes 8 hours of non-billable modules and pre-orientation testing.
    • Must be willing to float to other units, including Telemetry and ICU.
    • Commitment to a schedule that includes four shifts within a four-week span, including holiday coverage as needed.
