Description
Job Summary
The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Specialist is needed in an adult-focused recovery unit located in a regional hospital serving the Four Corners area. This position involves providing post-operative care for general surgery, orthopedic, neurological, obstetric/gynecological, urological, ear, nose and throat, and robotic procedure patients. The role requires delivering high-quality recovery services to patients in a fast-paced environment, supporting trauma level III procedures with potential experience in pediatric recovery.
Job Details
- Schedule: Dayshift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting 08/10/2026
- Required Qualifications: RN degree, BLS certification, ACLS certification, 3 years of experience in recovery or related clinical area, and the ability to work in a trauma level III recovery setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in recovery Peds or dental settings, with knowledge of adult and pediatric patient care within a recovery environment.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to Preoperative (PreOp) and/or Endoscopy (Endo) units.
- Additional Information: The unit is equipped with Mindray monitoring systems and uses Cerner electronic health records. The patient population includes mid to high acuity adults, with a patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:2. The position involves caring for surgical patients requiring post-anesthesia recovery services in a 7-bed unit.
