Job Summary:
The ICU Cardiovascular (ICU OH) specialty position is based in a healthcare facility located in McAllen, Texas. This role involves night shifts and requires candidates to have current CVICU experience with POD 0 Open Hearts, as well as experience with intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) and Impella devices. The position demands strong organizational and leadership skills, the ability to analyze and assess patient conditions effectively, and thorough knowledge of arrhythmia management, pathophysiology, and hemodynamics. Candidates must hold a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas.

Job Details:

• Position: Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH)
• Location: McAllen, Texas
• Schedule: Nights; 12 hours per shift; minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current Texas Registered Nurse license; CVICU experience with POD 0 Open Hearts; at least 2 years of CVICU experience; NIHSS, BLS, and ACLS certifications; ability to live within 100 miles of the facility
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with IABP and Impella devices; strong organizational and leadership skills; ability to communicate, coordinate, and delegate effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Additional Information: Must have experience managing arrhythmias, understanding of pathophysiology and hemodynamics, and ability to give expert analysis of patient conditions. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to work in a high-stakes environment with excellent communication and delegation skills.
