Job Summary:
Geriatric Nursing Specialist in Spring Grove, Minnesota. This position involves providing long-term care for a 38-bed unit that offers both short-term and long-term services. The role requires flexibility in shift coverage, predominantly during days, with a focus on quality patient care in a dynamic environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, primarily days, with flexibility to assist on other shifts; guaranteed 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license, American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Associate Degree in Nursing or Certificate, two or more years of geriatric nursing experience, with at least two years in a long-term care nursing facility. Preference for candidates with previous management, lead, or director of nursing experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Additional Information:
  • Contract length: 26 weeks (6 months) with an anticipated start date of 08/17/2026.
  • Shift length: 8 hours with mostly daytime hours from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
  • No float requirements.
  • On-call responsibilities that rotate among lead nurses; response time to be discussed with the manager.
  • On-call and holiday rotations as needed.
  • EMR: Matrix preferred.
  • Scrub color: Casual dress.
  • Orientation week is not guaranteed; the traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays when the unit may be closed.
  • Response to compliance requirements must be initiated within 24 to 48 hours of accepted offer to ensure quick start.
