Description
Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse in Bakersfield, California. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to patients during childbirth and the postpartum period. The RN will supervise and coordinate the activities of various nursing staff, ensuring safety and quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams in a busy hospital setting.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN); current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in California; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from AHA or ARC; minimum of 3 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in an acute care facility with a focus on obstetrics.
- Additional Information: The ideal candidate is proficient in EPIC electronic health records and has a strong background in fetal heart monitoring. The position starts on 09/14/2026 and is located at 2615 Chester Avenue, Bakersfield, CA 93301. Candidates must meet all organizational and departmental licensing and certification requirements.
