Job Summary:
Hospice Nurse in Cheyenne, Wyoming. This role involves providing end-of-life care to adult patients on a hospice unit, managing a patient ratio of one nurse to six patients. The position requires working three night shifts per week, with responsibilities including charting in Epic and performing "start of care," recertifications, and daily visits. The hospice setting emphasizes compassionate patient care and adherence to established clinical protocols.
Job Details:
- Location: Cheyenne, Wyoming
- Schedule: Shift begins at 5:45 PM and ends at 6:15 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: BLS Certification; minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; valid driver's license and insurance.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in end-of-life care within a hospice setting.
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts, three days per week.
- Additional Information: The role involves nursing care for adult patients at the end of life, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6. No floating, call, or standby duties are required. Scrubs are the dress code. Orientation specific to hospice care is provided. The charting system used is Epic.
