Description

Job Summary
Operating Room Open Heart specialist based in Lubbock, Texas. This position involves supporting cardiovascular surgical procedures within a short-term acute care facility. The role requires recent experience in open heart surgeries and the ability to scrub independently on complex cardiac cases.

Job Details

  • Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with start time at 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM and on-call responsibilities during nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid state license (Compact license preferred), minimum of 1 year experience in operating room cardiovascular surgery, certified as CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) or NBSTSA/NCCT, with recent experience in open heart procedures within the last 3 months.
  • Experience in Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair, Cardiac Surgery, CVOR, and other specialized cardiovascular surgical procedures.
  • Previous charge experience and community hospital experience preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic charting system, trauma level II experience, and community hospital exposure.
  • Additional Information: Must have 2 years of consecutive experience in cardiovascular surgery, with the ability to scrub the following cases independently: heart valve, open heart procedures, and related complex surgeries. Candidates should be flexible with working nights, weekends, and holidays and willing to float between units as needed.
