Description
Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Columbus, Ohio. This 13-week assignment involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The RN will oversee and supervise nursing staff, perform assessments, develop and implement care plans, and support patient safety and education. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and clinical excellence to promote positive patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS Certification, ACLS Certification (CIRH only), at least 2 years of bedside clinical experience, flexible to work in Columbus, Ohio
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or similar setting, strong clinical skills in patient assessment and care planning, excellent communication skills
- Behavior Characteristics: The candidate should demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, adaptability, and a patient-centered approach.
- Additional Information: Performs a nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission, collaborates with the interdisciplinary team, documents patient data accurately and timely, participates in patient rehabilitation programs, initiates discharge planning and patient teaching, maintains communication regarding changes in patient status, provides supervision and training for ancillary staff, and follows all safety and hospital policies. Assumes charge nurse responsibilities after orientation and actively pursues professional development.
