Description
Job Summary:
Gastroenterology Endoscopy Nurse or Surgical Technologist position located in Farmington, New Mexico. This role involves supporting procedures such as colonoscopy, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), and bronchoscopy within a level III trauma center's endoscopy unit. The position requires technical expertise in intra procedural care and a focus on adult high-acuity patient populations.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: RN degree for RNs; Certified Surgical Technology Program for Surgical Technologists; at least 3 years of experience in gastroenterology procedures, intra procedural technical skills including biopsy, ERCP, and foreign body retrieval; BLS and ACLS certifications; ability to troubleshoot equipment and supplies; minimum of 0 years' experience required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with procedures such as EGD, ERCP, bronchoscopy, and related interventions; proficiency in Olympus endoscopic equipment; demonstrated ability to assist proactively and troubleshoot equipment effectively.
- Additional Information: Must have procedural tech experience; duties include assisting with biopsies, dilatations, variceal banding, foreign body retrieval, clips, snares, and ERCP procedures involving duct cannulization, dilation, lithotripsy, stenting, and sphincterotomy. Ability to describe steps to assist other team members and troubleshoot equipment with minimal prompting is essential.
