Description
Job Summary:
The healthcare provider is seeking a Certified First Surgical Assistant for a facility located in Asheville, North Carolina. This role involves supporting a diverse range of surgical procedures including orthopedic trauma, neuro, spine, gynecology, robotics, vascular, and more. The position offers an opportunity to work with advanced equipment such as Davinci Robots, Mako, and Velys Robots within a busy operating room environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Dayshift, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certification as a Certified First Surgical Assistant (CFA), with no minimum experience required. Valid credentials to assist in multiple surgical disciplines including orthopedic trauma, neuro, spine, gynecology, robotics, vascular, and pediatrics
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience assisting in complex surgical procedures and familiarity with advanced surgical equipment is desirable
- Additional Information: The unit has 29 beds and maintains a support staff of unit secretaries and technicians. It utilizes Cerner documentation system and has flexible scheduling with on-call requirements. Candidates must adhere to hospital dress code, which includes scrubs provided by the facility. The unit is equipped with state-of-the-art surgical technology and promotes a collaborative team environment.
