Job Summary:
The emergency room registered nurse position is located in Portland, Oregon. The role involves providing acute patient care in a busy emergency department with a daily census of approximately 85. The position requires working during night shifts with variable hours, including every other weekend, within a short-term acute care facility. The RN will be responsible for managing a diverse patient population across all ages, with opportunities to float between units as needed.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: 2 years of experience in emergency nursing, current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program certifications, experience with EPIC charting system, valid license to practice as a registered nurse in Oregon, ability to work with all age groups including neonates, pediatrics, and geriatrics, and previous charge nurse experience preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers, familiarity with stroke and STEMI certification, and ability to manage complex emergencies.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to meet unit needs.
• Additional Information:
  • Candidate must have a vehicle for commuting purposes.
  • Travel and scheduling flexibility are essential, with a commitment to working three of the five major holidays.
  • Must include response to prior work at a similar facility if applicable.
  • No call-in procedures; direct communication with the healthcare provider is limited to scheduled interviews confirmed by the account manager.
  • Modules are completed pre-start and annually, with an average of 16 hours spent on required training.
