Job Summary:
Chula Vista, California This position is for a Surgical Technician (Operating Room Technician) in an operating room setting. The role involves providing patient care duties and supporting operative procedures in a surgical environment, ensuring compliance with policies and safety standards.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week. Starts on 08/24/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Minimum of three years of experience as a scrub person in a hospital setting; preferred approved program for Operating Room Technicians or demonstrated technical skills through on-the-job training; Scrub Tech Certification preferred; BLS for Healthcare providers required; strong hearts proficiency, and proficient in orthopedic, neuro, and robotic surgeries when working on general cases with no heart cases.
• Preferred Qualifications: Approved program for Operating Room Technicians or demonstrated technical skills through on-the-job training; Scrub Tech Certification.
• Additional Information: The position involves practices that comply with all policies and procedures, completion of mandatory licensing and certification requirements, and responsibilities in assisting with procedures, documentation, and count policies. Flexibility to work additional shifts and participate in teaching and process improvement initiatives is expected. On call requirements include 12 hours on weekends and 20 hours on weekdays within a 4-week period, with a response time of 30 minutes.
