Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) for a position at a healthcare facility in Madison, Wisconsin. This role involves working in a fast-paced neuro specialty inpatient unit, providing care to adult and geriatric patients with neurological and neurosurgical diagnoses. The RN will participate in evidence-based practice and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Job Details:

• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Medical Surgical With Telemetry (MS TELE)
• Location: Madison, WI, 600 Highland Ave
• Start Date: 09/14/2026
• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (1900 - 0730), Monday through Friday, with weekend rotation and holidays as needed
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications:
  • BLS certification (AHA only)
  • Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
  • 2 years of acute care RN experience within the last 3 years in a neuro or medical-surgical setting
  • Epic electronic charting experience
  • Ability to pass telemetry test prior to start, with specific adult and pediatric cardiac rhythm identification exams
  • Experience with managing ports, blood products, central lines, and neuro patient care procedures
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Trauma Level I or II experience
  • Previous experience with stroke or neuro patients in a comprehensive stroke program
• Additional Information:
  • Travelers are required to pass a telemetry exam prior to starting. The exam includes identifying lethal rhythms and answering questions related to cardiac rhythm interpretation.

  • Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and physical therapy.
