Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nurse position available in Highland Park, Illinois. This role involves providing critical care to patients, with a focus on ventilator management, arterial lines, and occasionally balloon pumps. The position is scheduled for day shifts and requires flexibility to float to other units such as Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, and Medical Surgical units across multiple facilities.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days, 7:00 AM 7:00 PM. Twelve-hour shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Active Illinois nursing license, CPR, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, and Epic experience. Candidate must submit a passing EKG test, resume, one reference from the past year, skills checklist, and all active certifications.
• Preferred Qualifications: Strong critical care skills and experience with ventilators, arterial lines, and balloon pumps are highly preferred.
• Float: Float to other units including Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, or Medical Surgical units to care for patients.
• Additional Information: The start date is ASAP, within two weeks of an offer. Orientation begins on Monday; credentials are due by Thursday prior to start. Orientation consists of an 8-hour non-billable session.
