Job Summary:
The Highland Park, Illinois, based Intensive Care Unit (ICU) specializes in providing comprehensive critical care services. This position involves night shifts supporting critically ill patients, including those requiring ventilators, arterial lines, and balloon pump management. The role requires adaptability to float across various units such as Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, and Unit Care Units to ensure optimal patient care.

Job Details:

• Shift Schedule: Nights from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, totaling 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications include active Illinois license, CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS. Candidates should possess at least 2 years of ICU experience, particularly with strong critical care skills. Epic electronic medical record experience is preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with extensive ventilator management, arterial lines, and balloon pump skills will excel.
• Float: Float to other units including Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, or Unit Care Units to care for med-surg patients and other facilities.
• Additional Information: Start date is ASAP, within two weeks of offer. Orientation is scheduled for Monday, with credentials due by Thursday before the start date. The orientation includes 8 hours of non-billable training. Candidates must submit a passed EKG test, current resume, one recent reference, a skills checklist, and active certifications.
