Job Summary:
The specialized nursing opportunity is in a Medical Surgical (MS) department located in Antigo, Wisconsin. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care on a 16-bed unit with variable nurse-to-patient ratios depending on the shift. Job Details:

• Location: Antigo, WI
• Shift Details: 12-hour shifts, day/night rotating schedule
• Schedule: Minimum of 36 hours per week, with a rotating shift pattern
• Required Qualifications: Wisconsin RN license, BLS, ACLS certification in hand at time of submission, minimum of 2+ years of Medical Surgical experience, highly prefer candidates with travel experience, ability to read and interpret Telemetry, excellent assessment skills
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing
• Float Requirement: Willing to float to other units including Merrill, Wausau, Medford, and Stanley
• Patient Ratio: Typically 4-5 patients on days, 5-6 on evenings, 6-7 on nights; 3 RNs on days, 3 on evenings, 2 on nights
• Unit Overview: 16 beds, with nurse coverage varying by shift
• Additional Information:
  • Contract includes 36 hours of unbillable low census hours, which may also involve on-call responsibilities during low census times with associated pay
  • Call back minimum of 2 hours, with on-call pay applicable when called back
  • During flu season, unvaccinated travelers are required to wear masks at all times per facility policy; non-compliance will result in corrective action
  • The position starts on 08/17/2026 and is for a 13-week contract with the possibility of extension
