Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse (ER) Des Moines, IA. This position involves providing urgent medical care to diverse patient populations within a busy emergency department. The role requires flexibility to float across multiple campuses and ability to work night shifts in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours shift times, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: 15 years of emergency department experience, proficiency with drips including sedations, vasoactive medications, and antiarrhythmics, experience reading telemetry strips, recent or current Level I trauma experience within the past 15 months, current Iowa or multi-state nursing license, active BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC electronic medical records, recent travel experience, and NIHSS certification (can be obtained during onboarding).
• Additional Information:
  • Must be able to work 1-2 of the upcoming summer holidays unless the unit is closed.
  • Traveler will be required to float across all campuses.
  • Submission requires a professional reference from a supervisor or nurse manager within the last 24 months.
  • Orientation dates are scheduled for 09/14/2026 and 09/28/2026, with earlier starts prioritized.
