Job Summary
Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN) Minneapolis, MN. This position involves providing family-centered, nurse-led care to infants, children, and adolescents with cardiothoracic and trauma conditions. The role requires flexibility to float between hospital locations as needed, offering an engaging environment for experienced pediatric ICU nurses.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, including straight days or nights, with each shift lasting 12 hours. Minimum weekly hours are 48.
  • Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license or Minnesota Temporary Permit - RN, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, and two (2) years PICU nursing experience, including care for pre-operative and immediate post-operative PICU surgical patients, trauma patients, or two (2) years pediatric cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU) nursing experience with competence in caring for pre-operative, immediate post-operative cardiac surgical patients, and pre- and post-cardiac procedural patients.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Not specified.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: The position involves coordinating and delivering family-centered nursing care to pediatric patients and their families, utilizing the nursing process. It includes accountability for professional practice, independent nursing functions, and collaboration with other health team members.
