Description
Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse position in Torrance, California. This role involves supporting patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum care, with a focus on high-risk obstetrics, neonatal resuscitation, and related procedures. The candidate must be flexible to work weekends and support night shifts as needed, providing specialized care in an acute care hospital setting.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: California state license, minimum 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, certifications including ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BLS, NRP, and C-EFM. A minimum of 2 years of patient ratio experience, charting experience required with Epic.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-risk obstetrics, neonatal resuscitation, and ability to support sterile speculum exams, vaginal delivery assistance, and postpartum care.
- Float: Float to mother-baby units may be required.
- Additional Information: Support for multidisciplinary team collaboration, ability to perform non-stress tests, assist in cesarean sections, and manage high-risk pregnancies. Candidates should be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment with high acuity obstetric and neonatal patients.
