Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery nurse role is located in an advanced-level maternity care unit within a high-volume, Level IV Maternal Designation facility. This position involves providing specialized nursing care in a fast-paced environment that handles over 500 deliveries per month, including both high-risk and routine pregnancies. The successful candidate will support a multidisciplinary team in delivering exceptional maternal and neonatal care throughout their scheduled shift.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift with 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid registered nurse licensure in Texas, BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, Neonatal Resuscitation certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics, and Advanced Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. A minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery or Perinatal experience in a high-volume delivery service, along with an Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Preferred Qualifications: Three to five years of Perinatal clinical experience in a high-volume delivery environment, along with certification in the S.T.A.B.L.E Program and an elevated level of Fetal Monitoring certification. A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification are highly desirable.
• Additional Information: The facility features 20 Labor and Delivery suites, 4 C-section rooms, triage and maternal-baby units, and monitors a high-risk obstetrical patient population with comprehensive in-house coverage including anesthesia and NICU. The unit is expanding to a new Women's Tower in mid-2026 and functions as both an academic and private practice setting, emphasizing high-risk, rapid-paced maternal care with in-house coverage around the clock.
