Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Nurse (MS) This role involves providing direct patient care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols in a general surgical adult unit with telemetry capability. The nurse will be responsible for implementing and monitoring patient care plans, communicating patient conditions, and coordinating discharge planning with the healthcare team. The position requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a potentially stressful environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; Nursys license verification; Driver's license or state ID; professional profile; two professional references; at least 1 year of nursing experience; location requirements are satisfied by current licensure.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in medical-surgical or telemetry units is preferred.
• Float: Float rotation may be required for this position.
• Additional Information: The department is a 28-bed unit serving the general surgical adult population, equipped with telemetry capabilities. Nurse to patient ratio is approximately 1:5-6. The unit utilizes virtual sitter monitoring and monitor techs for telemetry patients. Travelers may be scheduled for up to 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period, as well as holidays if needed.
