Job Summary:
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner opportunity in Coos Bay, Oregon. This position involves providing inpatient psychiatric care within a specialized unit, applying nursing processes, educating patients and families, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. The role emphasizes comprehensive patient assessments, individualized care planning, and documentation in electronic medical records.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute), Oregon license (willing to obtain if not active), recent (within 5 years) hospital experience, at least 1 year of inpatient psychiatric experience, ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, and critical thinking skills.

- Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The role involves assessing patients, performing medication administration, wound care, assisting with invasive procedures, patient education, documentation, and participation in treatment team meetings. Flexibility and ability to respond to emergencies are essential.
