Description

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Telemetry is sought for a position based in Reno, Nevada. The role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population, including those with cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and post-procedure needs. The RN will deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced, Level II Trauma Center environment, ensuring clinical excellence and exceptional service.

Job Details:

  • Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Telemetry
  • Location: Reno, NV
  • Schedule: Nights, 3x12 shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: NV RN license required prior to start; BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications; minimum of 2 years telemetry experience; demonstrated ability to identify and measure rhythm strips; candidates must pass a telemetry competency exam. Prior travel experience of one 13-week assignment is required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cardiac medication drips (e.g., Cardizem, Lasix, Nitro); ability to float to ICU, medical-surgical units, and other facilities as needed.
  • Responsibilities: Deliver safe, effective, and patient-centered nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients; collaborate with multidisciplinary teams; participate in quality improvement activities; adapt to floating responsibilities within scope of practice.
  • Additional Information: Travelers may be required to float to appropriate units based on organizational needs, including holidays and additional shifts during the schedule period. The facility serves a large catchment area with a high-volume, fast-paced environment, including trauma and emergency cases.
