Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse located in Des Moines, Iowa. This position involves working in a busy surgical department with a focus on a variety of cases including trauma, robotics, and specialty surgeries. The role requires adaptability across multiple service lines and the ability to float between campuses, with a high level of clinical expertise in operating room procedures.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shift, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: 24 months of current operating room experience, hospital or medical center experience prioritized; circulating or scrubbing experience highly preferred; experience in general, DaVinci robotics, pediatrics, and trauma surgeries required; additional experience in neurology, orthopedics (primarily trauma), gynecology, urology, transplants, plastics, ENT, and vascular highly preferred; Epic electronic medical systems experience within the previous 3 years required; trauma level I experience highly preferred, trauma level II required; Iowa license or multi-state compact license required; BLS (AHA/ARC) certification required; Driver's license required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with the following cases: neurology, orthopedics (trauma), gynecology, urology, transplants, plastics, ENT, vascular; trauma Level I experience highly preferred.
• Additional Information: Position involves working on a diverse clinical caseload with an emphasis on trauma and robotic surgeries. The assignment includes working 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays unless the unit is closed. There is a need for flexibility to work weekends and overnight shifts. Traveler will be required to float across multiple campuses within the organization.
