Description

Job Summary:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) position in GRAND FORKS, North Dakota. This role involves providing direct patient nursing care in a fast-paced emergency department setting. The RN will coordinate patient care across interdisciplinary teams, perform assessments, and ensure patient safety and discharge education, all while adhering to established policies, procedures, and protocols.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid license as a Registered Nurse in North Dakota or a Compact State Agreement, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), and prior experience of at least 3 years in Emergency Room.
  • Performs daily rounds on all patients, ensuring quality customer service, and coordinates care efficiently.
  • Develops comprehensive plans of care based on assessments and patient needs, including discharge planning.
  • Evaluates patient symptoms, intervenes promptly, and recognizes early warning signs of deterioration.
  • Responds to sudden adverse developments with emergency measures and reports observations accurately.
  • Completes incident reports and maintains clear communication with patients and their families.
  • Delegates nursing interventions within scope of practice, ensuring task safety and competence.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet departmental and organizational needs.
