Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry at a healthcare facility in Lufkin, Texas. The role involves providing acute care to patients with diagnoses such as congestive heart failure, diabetes, pneumonia, chronic kidney disease, and musculoskeletal conditions. The position is based on a 12-hour shift schedule within a virtual integrated care nursing model, requiring effective communication and time management skills.
Job Details:
- Location: Lufkin, Texas, United States
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, with shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM; schedule will be assigned by the manager and cannot guarantee block scheduling.
- Required Qualifications: Licensed RN in the state of Texas, BLS certification, minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, minimum of 36 hours per week, and availability to start on 08/31/2026.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with telemonitoring patients and reading strips, excellent communication and time management skills.
- Responsibilities include managing Cpap, Bipap, and high-flow oxygen patients, floating to all medical-surgical units, and adhering to unit-specific orientation protocols.
- Additional Information: Bed ratios are 6 to 1; PCTs are present on the unit; RNs are not required to titrate drips; charge nurses, house supervisors, and nurse educators are available.
