Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry nurses are sought for a healthcare facility in Lufkin, Texas. This position involves providing comprehensive patient care within a med/surg telemetry unit, utilizing a virtual integrated care nursing model. The role requires adherence to the assigned schedule and effective communication to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, with scheduling managed by the organization; weekend work every other weekend is required.
• Required Qualifications: BLS Certification; minimum of 3 years of experience as an RN in a med/surg telemetry setting; Licensure to submit; location in Texas with at least 3 years of experience preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Ability to work within a virtual integrated care nursing model; excellent communication and time management skills.
• Float: Will float to all medical/surgical units.
• Additional Information: Transitioned to a Virtual Integrated Care Nursing (VIC) model. Must work the given schedule; beds are 24, with patient ratios of 6/1. Common diagnoses include CHF, diabetes, PNA, CKD, and musculoskeletal conditions. RNs are not required to titrate drips. This unit ensures patient safety through telemonitoring, with RNs reading strips and monitoring patients. Charge nurses and nurse educators are available on-site. PCTs are present on the unit. Equipment includes Cpap, Bipap, and high-flow devices. Department orientation is completed, and scrubs are navy blue.
