Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Anchorage, Alaska. This position involves providing specialized perioperative nursing care in a Magnet Facility with Level II Trauma designation. The assignment is scheduled to start on September 8, 2026, for a duration of 13 weeks, with a standard schedule of four 10-hour day shifts. The role requires a highly skilled professional capable of managing complex surgical cases in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 4x10 Day shifts (either 0645-1715 or 0900-1930), minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Level II experience, certification in ACLS, and CNOR.
• Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and CNOR preferred.
• Skills: Experience with complex surgical procedures including but not limited to general surgery, orthopedics, trauma, vascular, neuro, gynecology, and urology. Familiarity with Epic charting system.
• Responsibility: Will manage perioperative patient care, work within scope to float to like units if needed, and adhere to facility protocols.
• Additional Information: Pending license accepted but must be in hand for the auto-offer. Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must be at least 50 miles from the facility. Travel compliance with SSN and DOB required at submission. Must be willing to work two major holidays. Return staff policy applies, with a maximum of one year working at the same facility as a traveler. No facility bed count or contact information is included.
