Job Summary:
The operating room specialist position is based in Jackson, Michigan. This role entails providing leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care within the surgical environment. The nurse utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching to patients and their families. Effective communication of pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team is essential for optimal care delivery.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing; 2 years of experience in OR or circulating trauma unit; level 2 or higher trauma experience or circulating experience of 2+ years; Robotics experience; ortho trauma and neuro experience; BLS certification.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Additional Information: No heart experience is necessary. Must have level 2 or higher trauma OR circulating experience of 2+ years. Robotics experience is required along with orthopedics trauma and neuro experience. Call requirements are one call per week (9 p.m. 7 a.m.) and every sixth weekend (Saturday/Sunday 7 a.m. 7 p.m. or 7 p.m. 7 a.m.).
