Description
Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) in Saint Augustine, Florida. This position involves providing critical patient care in an intermediate care setting within a leading healthcare facility. The role requires delivering high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on patient safety and clinical excellence.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours (1900-0730), with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in critical care or IMCU, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale).
- Preferred Qualifications: N/A
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information:
- Urgent backfill position with an immediate start date of 08/31/2026, ending on 10/28/2026.
- Willingness to float to ICU, Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit, and Medical-Surgical units as needed.
- Experience managing ventilators, vasopressors, Impella, and intra-aortic balloon pumps preferred.
- Critical care documentation system utilizing Epic.
- Nurse-to-patient ratios estimated at 1:1, 2:1, 3:1 in ICU, and 4:1 in Stepdown/Progressive Care units.
- Must adhere to dress code (navy scrub color, closed-toe shoes, groomed hair/beard, no jewelry, no nail polish).
- Two days of orientation prior to start; no pre-assignment testing required.
- Unit-specific procedures include vasopressor management, EKG performance, sheaths removal, and post-open heart surgery care.
- Vaccination policy requires proof of exemption or completion of an exemption module for the 20252026 influenza season.
- No RTO allowed during the first two weeks; maximum of 8 days RTO for a 13-week contract.
- Compliance and onboarding may take up to 14 business days.
