Description
Job Summary:
Gastroenterology Technologist in Bridgeport, CT. This position involves providing specialized gastroenterology support within a healthcare facility environment. The role includes working evening shifts with a focus on procedural assistance, patient preparation, and equipment operation, utilizing advanced electrocardiography (EPIC) system knowledge and experience with endoscopic procedures such as ERCP and Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS).
Job Details:
- Shift Time: Evenings, with shift hours from 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM, Monday through Friday. Weekend call is required starting Friday at 5:30 PM and ending Monday at 7:00 AM.
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, with 10-hour shifts.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent, valid certification as a Gastroenterology Technologist, at least 1 year of experience in gastroenterology procedures, ACLS and BLS certification, EPIC electronic medical record system experience, and proficiency in ERCP and EUS procedures.
- Additional Information: Previous travel experience and familiarity with Level 1 trauma environment are preferred. Experience with specific equipment used in gastroenterological procedures is a plus.
