Description
Job Summary:
Surgical Technologist / Operating Room Technician position located in Springfield, Missouri. The role involves providing direct patient care and supporting surgical procedures under the supervision of surgeons and circulating registered nurses. Candidates will assist in preparing operating rooms, maintaining sterile fields, and ensuring patient safety during various surgical disciplines using state-of-the-art equipment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certification from an accredited Surgical Technology program, BLS Certification from the American Heart Association, and a minimum of 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience in a hospital setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Level 1 trauma cases and more than one year of hospital surgical technologist experience.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Provide support for complex surgical cases across multiple specialties, demonstrating technical proficiency in sterile technique, instrument counts, and equipment setup. Will function as a resource for new Surgical Technicians and students. The role requires working in fast-paced environments and may involve on-call shifts.
